WELCOME!

Hi, welcome to my social media blog. Social media has such a huge impact to us as a society. The world will not be where we are today without the help of social media. Social media and the internet is a tool that we tend to rely on for unlimited uses daily. We can lose control when using social media and networks. Don't let this tool control you, instead control the use of social media because it can influence us as a society in a positive or negative way. In my blog, I have post links to essays about both positive and negative change that social media can bring. The choice is yours. Be in control when using social media and change the world little by little. Don't get caught up by using social media in the wrong way. Enjoy my blogs.

Be the Change

Rayamajhi, S. (2015, March 15). Ground Report. Retrieved from Social Media and its Evolution in 21 Century : http://groundreport.com/social-media-and-its-evolution-in-21-century/

In the essay "Social Media and its Evolution in 21 Century" by Shreedeep Rayamajhi, the topic of the essay is that social media has changed human behavior. He claims that internet is the network of networks, whereas the users' behavior is a constant change per time and need. Social media helps us as a society to be who we are but also help our online identity. Many users failed to realize the importance of privacy and things can go wrong because social media is a open space. Rayamajhi argues that social media has good aspects but also growing threats of pornography, cyber terrorism, and many more. Social media depends on how users make use of it and how we put it in front of our children and growing generations. As a society, it is our own responsibility to take necessary precautions and problems when using the internet. To take matters in hand, George Brandis has announced that $18 million will be spent on shutting websites and monitoring social media for terrorist. As a society, we need to make the internet and social media safe for all and acknowledge the core value use of it.
